Powered by a 429/370 big-block, this air-conditioned droptop delivers
max power plus luxury.
Back in the day, the most popular factory performance models were coupes with four-speed and minimal convenience and luxury options. The mission was clear: More cubes, less luxury less weight, maximum performance. It was that simple.
Clearly the original owner of this Torino didn’t get that message when he went shopping for
a Ford muscle machine. This 429 CJ Torino, one of one according the bible of Ford documentation, the Marti report certainly breaks with tradition. Originally ordered with
429/370 CJ power, this head-turning ragtop was also factory equipped with automatic transmission with console shifter, power steering, brakes and windows, AC, high-back
buckets, dual sport mirrors and Magnum 500 wheels.
Finished in White with shaded side trim and a white top and a red interior, it was fully restored in 1993. Featured at Fords at Carlisle, it took a First at the popular ATCO Raceway Ford Show. With 47,000 original miles, it comes with original window sticker and sales paperwork in
addition to the Marti Report.
It will cross the block at the Auctions America event, April 25-26 in Carlisle, PA. Check it out at http://auctionsamerica.com/events/overview.cfm?SaleCode=SC13
