Tacoma, WA has just become the destination for lovers of all cars, from classics and exotics to sports cars, customs and hot rods.
Celebrating America’s love affair with the automobile, the LeMay has had it’s grand opening complete with 15 museum displays, outdoor car show and concert, racing simulators, fireworks and celebrities. Thousands of people toured the 165,000-square-foot, four-level museum, including Brad Owen, Washington Lt. Governor, Ed Welburn, GM Design VP, Jay Leno, Nicola Bulgari and Edgar Martinez, Mariners’ two-time batting champ.
“This is a world-class museum,” said ACM President and CEO David Madeira. “Nothing in North America compares to our campus, which is why families have traveled from around Puget Sound, the Pacific Northwest and throughout the U.S. just to be part this opening celebration.
