World famous racecars, exotics, classics and motorcycles will be featured at the hobby’s most exclusive and prestigious event.
The seventh annual Salon Privé, to be showcased at West London’s exquisite Syon House, will be held on September 5-7 and promises to once again feature some of the world’s finest two and four-wheel machinery. Included will be 18 of the 22 ROFGO Gulf Collection racecars owned by Adrian Hamilton, shown together for the first time. These cars, with their iconic sky blue and orange livery, date from 1967 to 2010. The 1967 Mirage, above, was the first Gulf-liveried car to run at Le Mans and the latest in the collection is the 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo that competed in the GT2 Championship.
As always there will be some very special collectors’ models, including a number of unique one-offs:
•Ferrari 330 GT Vignale Shooting Brake, above, exhibited by its owner
Jay Kay, British jazz funk and acid jazz band, Jamiroquai, frontman.
•Lamborghini Flying Star (1961 Turin Motor Show)
•Aston Martin DB4 Bertone Jet.
•Bugatti Type 16, #471, the oldest (1912) competition Bugatti and Ettore Bugatti’s personal racecar.
In addition to cars and motorcycles, there will also be exhibits of private aircraft, luxury yachts, art, fashion and furnishings. There will be special displays of Ferrari F40s, above, Mercedes-Benz Gullwings and the one-off 443 horsepower Touring Superleggera built on the Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione
