CHEVROLET @100: BOW TIE BASH!

The AACA Museum in Hershey, PA celebrates Chevrolet’s Centennial on June 15 to October 14.

Sponsored by Palmyra, PA Chevrolet dealer, Klick-Lewis, the AACA Museum’s Chevrolet Centennial Exhibit will showcase more than 30 important cars plus fine art and automobilia. Pinky “Mr. Chevrolet” Randall, a major player in the collector car hobby, will be the Honorary Curator. On July 22nd, the Museum will also be hosting a non-judged All-Chevrolet Car Show that’s open to the public for participation and viewing. Fine artist and former GM designer Peter Maier will display two of his incredible life-size "realist" paintings, including Bill Mitchell’s Sting Ray racecar, above, in the Cammack Gallery. David Snyder will display his Chevrolet art throughout the Museum.

The Exhibit will include: 1912 Little owned by Robert Little, 1915 Royal Mail Roadster, 1918 V-8 Touring, 1935 (first built) Suburban, 1954 Corvette, 1957 Chevy Windigo racecar (La Carrera Panamericana), lead photo, 1961 Impala SS-409, 1963 Corvette Split-Window Coupe, 1963 Impala SS (50 millionth Chevrolet), 1970 Chevelle LS-6 convertible, the ex-Dale Earnhardt Corvette C-5R, above, Reese’s NASCAR Impala SS, below, and the Monza GT Concept Car from GM’s Heritage Collection, below. Part of the late Chip Miller’s Collection, the yellow C-5R Corvette was the last racecar that Dale Sr. finished a race in before his death at the 2001 Daytona 500.

The oldest vehicle in the Show will be a 1912 Little Roadster, produced by a company formed by William C. Durant and William H. Little. By 1913 the Little Car Company had sold around 3,500, cars and was combined with Chevrolet.
