With 100-plus hot rods traveling more than 3,600 miles in seven days from the Bonneville Salt Flats to Indy, there is sure to be plenty of action.
Led by Andy “The Rodfather” Brizio, above, and Goodguys founder Gary Meadors, the tour leaves Bonneville on Friday, September 14th and continues east through Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, and on to Indy. They’ll get there in time for the Goodguys 2nd WIX Filters Speedway Nationals at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on September 21-23.
Andy Brizio and Gary Meadors, above, – two men at the forefront of the hot rodding scene for the last four decades – are also at the head of the pack. Brizio will be behind the wheel of his trusty ‘32 Ford, while Meadors will be driving his all black ‘40 Ford coupe.
Stops include Kindig-it Design (Salt Lake City, UT), Wyotech (Laramie, WY), Pinkee’s Rod Shop (Loveland, CO), Speedway Motors & Kuck Motorsports (Lincoln, NE), The Dennis Albaugh Collection (Ankeny, IA), Heidt’s Hot Rods & Muscle Car Parts (Wauconda, IL), The Roadster Shop (Mundelein, IL), Billet Specialties (La Grange, IL), Rad Rides by Troy (Manteno, IL), The Richard Munz Collection (Madison, WI) and the Indycar race shop of Dryer & Reinbold (Indianapolis, IN). Return trip tour stops include George Lange and Jack Stirnemann’s private car collections (St Louis, MO), Darryl Starbird’s Custom Car Museum (Afton, OK), The Hot Rod Garage (Amarillo, TX) and the Unser Museum (Albuquerque, NM).
